Class Description

There is growing consensus that people with Parkinson’s benefit from a regular yoga practice. Yoga can influence flexibility, mobility, balance, lower body strength and stability. But the benefits don’t end with the physical body! Yoga is calming, a way to destress and can improve sleep.

This class will focus on balance, range of motion, strengthening, flexibility and improving posture with an emphasis on opening the chest, strengthening the core, and relaxation. Classes will also include breathing and meditation techniques.

PWP YOGA is appropriate for all levels and no previous yoga experience is necessary. All equipment will be provided, however you are welcome to bring your own mat.

The pilot program is a weekly one hour class that runs for 6 weeks, starting November 9th, 2018.
