Greater Victoria lit up for World Parkinson’s Day

On April 11, World Parkinson’s Day, buildings across the Capital Region lit up in blue light for Spark the Night - an initiative aimed to shine a light on Parkinson's disease, raise funds for research, and foster solidarity among those affected by the condition. Various buildings including municipal halls in Victoria, Saanich, View Royal, Colwood, Oak Bay and Esquimalt, along with the B.C.’s legislative building and Strathcona Hotel helped raise awareness.

Bailey Martin, Executive Director, joins Jim Here on an episode of Spinning Wheels: Parkinson’s Conversations with Jim Here to highlight the people involved in the Spinning Wheels Relay to End Parkinson’s. She talks about the important role Parkinson Wellness Projects has taken on in the past few years for the community they serve, as well as the importance of exercising and community building.
