NEUROFIT BC offers exercise and physiotherapy for people with Parkinson’s. They offer exercise videos, courses for professionals, and physiotherapy for people with Parkinson’s across British Columbia.

Neuromotion

Neuromotion Physiotherapy + Rehabilitation is a physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic dedicated to providing services for individuals with neurological conditions. With three facilities in Vancouver and Victoria, they provide expert hands-on treatments, education, and exercises to enable their clients to achieve their goals and maximize their physical potential.

Parkinson Society of BC

The Parkinson Society of British Columbia is a great resource for finding support, sharing reliable information, and raising funds for programs and research across British Columbia and beyond.

PD Avengers

PWP is proud to work with the PD Avengers in our mission to support every person with Parkinson’s. The PD AVENGERS are a global alliance of people with Parkinson’s, their partners and friends, standing together to demand change in how the disease is seen and treated.

Their mandate is to use the value of our combined effort, influence and skills to prove Parkinson’s matters and to build a sense of real urgency to end this disease.

Programs and Seminars

Rock Steady Boxing

Rock Steady Boxing is a non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum which adapts exercises from boxing drills to support people with Parkinson’s Disease. Exercises vary in purpose and form but share one common trait: they are rigorous and intended to extend the perceived capabilities of the participant.

Rock Steady Boxing is one of the fitness programs in use by Parkinson Wellness Project for our own participants.

Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s

Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s serves more than 2,700 people affected by Parkinson’s each year at no charge. They strive to achieve their mission by providing people with Parkinson's and their caregivers A Better Approach to Parkinson’s, and provide free virtual programs and webinars to any interested people.

Dance for PD®

Dance for PD® offers internationally-acclaimed dance classes for people with Parkinson’s disease. Participants are empowered to explore movement and music in ways that are refreshing, enjoyable, stimulating and creative.

PWR!

PWR! develops and implements worldwide access to Parkinson disease-specific, neuroplasticity-principled programming shown by research to reduce symptoms, restore function, and improve quality of life. Their PWR!Moves program is one of Parkinson Wellness Projects’ most popular fitness programs, providing a flexible and functional amplitude-focused exercise approach that targets multiple symptoms, and that allows for adaptation for disease severity.

Rogue Physical Therapy and Wellness

Rogue Physical Therapy and Wellness offers online classes and exercise programs for people with Parkinson’s, as part of their belief that “exercise is medicine.” They offer their services to people across the world, and have recently uploaded a series of free exercise videos to demonstrate PWR!Moves to a wider audience and to assist people interested in practicing with the methodology.

The Michael J Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.

Davis Phinney Foundation

The Davis Phinney Foundation provides education, tools, and resources for people with Parkinson’s, their caregivers, family, and friends, and allied medical professionals, all with the goal of helping people with Parkinson’s to live well today.
